Who are we?

PLASANA MEDICAL was launched following the meeting between Professor Antoine Rousseau, Research Director of the Plasma Physics Laboratory (LPP) at the École Polytechnique and Yves Matton, founder of the startup studio Technofounders, an expert in the development and deployment of deeptech projects.

The company was founded in 2022, after more than 10 years of research focusing on the effects of cold plasma on wound healing at the LPP,  including preclinical trials that demonstrated the beneficial effects of cold plasma for woundcare applications. This new type of treatment accelerates healing time and limits infections thanks to the antiseptic effect of cold plasma.

Plasana Medical's mission is to bring this technology to market in order to improve the quality of life of patients, facilitate the work of healthcare professionals and significantly reduce the cost of health insurance coverage.

The company will conduct its first clinical study between 2025 and 2026 in order to obtain CE marking in 2026 to market its device in France and Europe.
